Almonds in moderation can promote lower cholesterol levels, prevents heart disease and can help with weight loss. High Protein and heart-friendly almonds are a great source of vitamin E, with 25g providing 70 percent of the recommended daily allowance. They also have good amounts of magnesium, potassium, zinc, iron, fibre and are a good source of healthy monounsaturated fat. 4 ounces almonds, about 1 cup
1 egg white
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup Fructevia, Steviva Brand Stevia Blend or a tiny pinch of Steviva Brand Stevia Powder
2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
In a small bowl, whisk an egg white until frothy.
Whisk in the remaining ingredients expect for the almonds. Mix until it is well blended.
Add the almonds and stir to coat them with the egg white mixture.
Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray. Spread the almonds on to the baking sheet.
Bake at 325º for 15-20 minutes until the coating has set and becomes crisp.
Cool then break apart before eating. Store in an airtight container.
